There’s magic, mischief and mayhem afoot in Albany when the fairy-folk of the bushland meddle in the lives and loves of the humans of Albany, in this local and original adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
When four Albany residents run away to the bush, they find themselves caught up in the mystical antics of the Fairy King Frank and his impish sidekick, Maureen – leading to best friends Danni and Kylie both being pursued by the same men. Meanwhile, a group of theatrical farmers prepare to give the performance of a lifetime for the upcoming wedding of Albany’s mayor, and in the midst of trying to train a group of young fairies, the Fairy Queen Lorna finds herself captivated by a local boomer.

The Allotment is Lin's first time directing solo, although she has co-directed a couple of plays in the UK many years ago, and has approximately thirty-five years of experience both professionally and in community theatre.
Lin absolutely loves The Allotment, having previously played by the part of Norah, and finds it lovely to see it re-enacted by so many great actors to bring her vision to life.
Since joining Spectrum, Lin has had the honour of playing Mrs Rogers in Agatha Christies And Then There Were None; performing a very special monologue Ham Sandwich, which was written by her very dear friend, in Spectrum Theatre's One Actually; and Lin thoroughly enjoyed playing Dawn in A Composite Arrangement. Lin looks forward to hopefully performing in some of the fantastic plays we have lined up for the coming years — although after A Composite Arrangement, she might be typecast into the grandmother parts now, but says “bring it on”!

Carolyn is delighted to be playing the role of Norah in The Allotment, her second production with Spectrum Theatre.
Carolyn's theatre experience include many, many roles, mainly in Margaret River, from the wicked stepmother in Cinderella, to Hilary, the rejected wife, in The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband. She was involved with the Margaret River Theatre Group taking on acting, directing, writing and backstage roles for over 20 years before moving to Denmark last year. Carolyn also founded South-West Dames, a group performing small theatre in small spaces with three other women 'of a certain age'!
Carolyn loves being part of the Spectrum Theatre community, and is very grateful to all the members for their warm welcome.

Biography
Luka has been acting since he was 8 years old and has averaged probably one show a year in that time.
This will be Luka's fourth appearance in a Spectrum Theatre play. In late 2023 he performed the role of resigned husband Max in A Good Old Fashioned, Big Family Christmas, and drew cast pictures for the flyers and program.
In 2024 he played the part of Adam and sang “Me & My Torana” in the Class of '77 musical, and earlier this year was the ghost of Hamlet in One Actually.
He has also performed previously with Albany Light Opera and Theatre Company (ALOTCo), singing a duet in the 2018 production of It's Been a Long, Long Time, and two solos in 2019's Albany's Got Talent.

Kayleigh grew up in the Pilbara, where she was involved in a few high school productions, including performing at WAAPA for the Black Swan Theatre Company.
And Then There Were None marked her debut with Spectrum Theatre, and her first time acting since high school.

Luke Simpson has been Spectrum Theatre's technical whiz-kid for a number of years now, supplying Spectrum Theatre with not only his expertise, but his treasure trove of specialised lighting equipment! It's little wonder that when a director sets about planning their production, their first question is "is Luke available?".
Outside of Spectrum Theatre, Luke owns and operates Plantagenet Production Services, and has travelled the world on the back of his professional expertise.

Biography
Tiger's been involved in the theatre ever since a child, but never quite expected to graduate University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Theatre — the consequence of which was a rather brief spell as an English & Drama teacher!
Tiger joined Spectrum Theatre in 2018, and has taken on such roles as a drunken butler in Dinner For One, the formidable Mrs Appleyard in Picnic at Hanging Rock, and Madame Arcarti in Blithe Sprit.
In the last couple of years, Tiger has become more involved in behind-the-scenes at Spectrum Theatre, and is now rather addicted to the joy that comes from people stepping into our unique and beautiful little venue for the first time, and loves the wonderful theatre community that we have here.
