If you think there’s a show that would be ideal for Spectrum Theatre, then we’d be interested in hearing from you!

Typically, production proposals come from folk that would like to direct or produce the production themselves.

Although we have people with all different levels of experience at Spectrum Theatre, we usually look at taking on productions from people that have worked with Spectrum Theatre before, or have some directing experience elsewhere.

If you’re looking to direct for the first time, we would strongly encourage you to join a production as a member of the cast or crew, and if you express an interest in directing, there may be opportunities for you to shadow a director in a production, or be mentored.

Spectrum Theatre are currently formalising the process for production proposals – and we will update this page accordingly with information! We strongly advise, however, that interested directors and producers of shows attend the AGM each year, where we will make dates available.
